Bountiful Basket 4-28-12
Every other Saturday we drive to South Jordan and pick up Bountiful Baskets. It's 2 laundry baskets full of fresh fruits and vegetables. These are normally grown by farmers locally or close to local. These are straight from the source and not the stuff that you buy from the store. The cost is $15 per week that you decide to order, and it all varies each week as to what you get. This is what we got today: a brown bag of green beans, 3 beef steak tomatoes, 5 heads of broccoli, strawberries, beets (those purple things at the top of the pic), pineapple, 2 mangoes, bananas, a bag of apples, a small mini watermelon, and a head of brocoliflower (cauliflower mixed with broccoli).
Free shop at Kohl's
I got a $10 gift card in the mail from Kohl's. I signed up for their e-mail and mailing alerts, as I shop there a lot, so I often receive discounts though not normally this high. We needed new dish and bathroom towels, so we went in today and found a 6 pk of kitchen towels on sale for $9.99. We got to the register and these rang up for $25.99 original price. We saved $15 with these being on sale, and the gift card covered everything, so we walked out paying nothing (not even tax).
Walgreens Haul 4-28-12
I finally had a haul worth publishing. I got 6 boxes of Nice! (another store brand of Walgreens) jello mix, 6 Skintimate Shave gels, 6 Edge Shave gels and 1 Skintimate male shave gel, 2 boxes of Nice! sandwich bags, 1 box of Nice! gallon ziploc bags, 1 box of trash bags, 1 box of fabric sheets for the dryer, and 4 boxes of Grape Nuts cereal. The starting total for everything was: $66.09; the ending total was $22 (after coupons and rewards). I started out with $8 in RR and got $10 back from the shave gels, which I turned around and used for the Nice! brand items (made them free, I just paid for tax, and got a $2 RR back). The Grape Nuts were free after RR and coupons, and the jello mix was a filler 4/$1 for the Grape Nuts cereal. Not too bad of a day!!
More Hauls
Here is a K-Mart haul I did a few weeks back. The total before coupons and rewards was $22.50. My final total after everything was $1.50 (the cost of the soda not pictured, because my husband drank it right away). Everything else was free!!!
Pictured are 12 pks of Betty Crocker muffin mixes (a staple in our house), and 6 tubes/boxes of kid's toothpaste. The muffin mixes were $1.00 each before coupons, and the toothpastes were $1.50 each before coupons.
